Over the years I have noticed a pattern. The biggest decisions rarely happen during scheduled meetings. They happen during conversations after dinner, during a walk, on a terrace overlooking the sea, or in the quiet moment after a workshop when someone finally says what they were thinking all along. That is one of the reasons I design luxury company retreats. When you change the setting, you change the conversation, and when the conversation changes, the future of the business can change with it.
Recently I was watching Season 2 of Jury Duty on Amazon Prime, and I found myself laughing for the same reason I enjoyed the first season. Put people in an unfamiliar environment and everything becomes more honest, more unpredictable, and often more revealing. It is comedy, of course, but the psychology is real. When people are outside their routine, they react differently, they listen differently, and they connect differently. In business, that effect can be incredibly valuable if it is used intentionally.
The Luxury Company Retreat Design Experience is something I created for founders, CEOs, investors, leadership teams, and partnerships who want to use that effect properly. This is not a generic off-site and it is not a group tour. It is a high-end, fully bespoke retreat designed around what your organisation actually needs at that moment in time. Sometimes that is strategic planning. Sometimes it is partnership development. Sometimes it is alignment between founders or senior leaders. Sometimes it is simply the need to step away from constant pressure and think clearly again.
This service is separate from the Empower Business Legacy Club. Legacy Club members may attend retreats as part of membership, but the Luxury Company Retreat Design Experience is created specifically for one company at a time. That allows the retreat to be structured around real objectives rather than a standard format.
After booking, we begin with remote planning sessions where we design the purpose of the retreat, not just the schedule. We look at who should attend, what conversations need to happen, what outcomes are required, and what environment will make those outcomes possible. I then guide destination selection, programme design, workshop structure, and the balance between business sessions and curated experiences. I also facilitate sessions at the venue so the retreat stays productive without feeling like another meeting.
Because I have worked internationally for more than 25 years, retreats can be hosted in many of the cities I know well, including London, Limassol, St Lucia, the Cayman Islands, the Algarve, Malaga, Paris, Milan, Santorini, and other global destinations. Each location creates a different energy. A European city retreat feels different from a Caribbean retreat, and both feel different from a Mediterranean leadership experience. The key is choosing the right setting for the decisions that need to be made.
A luxury retreat should include more than workshops. The best ones combine business sessions with wellness, leisure, networking, and exclusive experiences. Golf, yachting, private dinners, opportunity sessions, and curated activities are not distractions — they are part of what makes people relax enough to think properly. When people feel comfortable, they speak more openly, and that is when the most valuable ideas appear.
Many leadership teams tell me the same thing after a retreat. They solved problems in three days that had been going in circles for months. That is the real reason to do this properly.
If you want a retreat that delivers real clarity, stronger relationships, and new opportunities, the Luxury Company Retreat Design Experience is designed for exactly that.
Limited spaces are available each year.
