New opportunities are currently being explored through User Generated Content (UGC) collaborations, creating another dimension to the work I undertake with brands across lifestyle, wellness, fitness, travel, technology, beauty and consumer products.

UGC has become an increasingly valuable way for brands to demonstrate how products, services and experiences fit into everyday life. Rather than relying solely on traditional advertising, brands can use creator-led content to show products in use, explain their benefits, share genuine experiences and create marketing assets that feel more natural to their audiences.

For me, this is an opportunity to bring together my commercial experience, communication skills and interest in products, experiences and emerging brands with a more contemporary content format.

The focus is not simply on creating a video. It is about understanding what a brand needs the content to achieve and developing something that can communicate the product clearly while still feeling authentic, engaging and relevant.

Building a broader UGC portfolio

I am currently developing a portfolio across several content categories, allowing me to demonstrate different approaches to UGC and the range of content I can create.

These include product demonstrations, reviews, unboxings, testimonials, lifestyle-led storytelling, fitness and wellbeing content, food, travel, technology and experiences.

Three recent examples demonstrate how this can work in practice.

UGC Showcase | Meet Lena

This introductory video provides an overview of my approach to UGC and the types of content I can create for brands.

My content combines lifestyle with a professional perspective, including product demonstrations and reviews, unboxings and testimonials, travel and lifestyle, fitness and wellbeing, food and healthy cooking, music and new experiences, alongside story-led brand content.

I am particularly interested in creating content around products and experiences that I genuinely use, enjoy or can incorporate naturally into everyday life.

The objective is to produce content that feels relatable, confident and professionally presented without appearing overly scripted.

For brands, that can mean having a creator who is comfortable communicating a product, demonstrating how it works and telling a story around the experience rather than simply delivering a conventional advertisement.

UGC Showcase | NutriBullet

The NutriBullet video demonstrates how a straightforward product demonstration can become engaging lifestyle content.

Using three ingredients and seasoning, I created a quick pasta sauce while incorporating ingredient close-ups, product footage, step-by-step B-roll, voiceover and finished-dish shots.

The important element is that the product remains central to the story while the content shows how it can fit naturally into everyday cooking.

This approach can be particularly useful for consumer brands. Instead of simply saying what a product does, UGC can demonstrate how someone might actually use it.

That creates opportunities for content that can potentially be adapted for social media, digital advertising, product pages, websites and other marketing activity.

UGC Showcase | Fitness & Lifestyle

The third example explores fitness and lifestyle content through a combination of B-roll, exercise footage, product and equipment close-ups, voiceover, movement and post-workout lifestyle moments.

There is also an important audience perspective behind this type of content.

I am over 50, bringing youthful energy, confidence and real-life experience to content that can connect with today’s 50+ consumer.

The 50+ market is commercially significant, yet brands do not always represent this audience through contemporary, energetic content. I see an opportunity to create UGC that demonstrates that active lifestyles, technology, beauty, wellness, travel and consumer products can be relevant across different generations and life stages.

The aim is not to make age the entire story. It is to make it part of an authentic perspective that brands can use when they want to reach consumers who are experienced, active, curious and still exploring new products and experiences.

What this means for brands

The opportunity extends beyond creating individual social media videos.

A UGC collaboration can potentially provide brands with a library of authentic content that demonstrates products from different perspectives and gives marketing teams additional creative assets to test.

Depending on the brief, this could include:

  • Product demonstrations
  • Product reviews
  • Testimonials
  • Unboxing videos
  • Voiceover-led content
  • Lifestyle B-roll
  • Fitness and wellbeing content
  • Food and cooking demonstrations
  • Travel and experience-led content
  • Technology demonstrations
  • Beauty and personal-care content
  • Story-led brand content

The most interesting opportunities are likely to be with brands where the product naturally connects with an aspect of everyday life.

That could be a wellness product that becomes part of a morning routine, technology that solves a genuine everyday problem, fitness equipment used within an active lifestyle, a beauty product demonstrated on mature skin, or a travel experience brought to life through personal storytelling.

Exploring where this opportunity can lead

This is an area I am actively exploring alongside my wider work in business growth, commercial strategy and strategic partnerships.

It provides an opportunity to combine commercial thinking with content creation — understanding the brand, its audience and its proposition while creating content that communicates the product in a natural and engaging way.

I am particularly interested in working with brands and agencies that value authenticity but also understand the commercial purpose behind good content.

The next stage is therefore about continuing to build relationships, expand the portfolio and explore collaborations across different sectors and product categories.

For brands, agencies and businesses considering UGC, the conversation does not need to begin with a fully defined campaign. It can start with the product, the audience, the challenge or the type of content you are looking to create.
