Exploring UGC opportunities across hotels, hospitality, dining and travel, combining authentic on-camera storytelling, commercial expertise and editorial content to help brands connect with the youthful over-50s market.
Strategic Moves: Building a Commercial UGC Proposition
I am developing a user-generated content (UGC) offering for hotels, hospitality, dining and travel brands seeking authentic, commercially useful content for their marketing channels, with a particular interest in connecting with the youthful over-50s market.
The proposition combines natural on-camera communication, international travel experience and more than 25 years of commercial business experience. Rather than competing on social media reach, I am focusing on creating content that brands can use to showcase experiences, engage prospective customers and strengthen their marketing.
My initial portfolio includes the Paris Travel Monologue – On-Camera Sample, shared with talent agent Jade, alongside an independent project exploring London’s luxury hospitality sector.
From Paris Memories to Brand-Ready Content
The Paris sample revisits my trip to the French capital from 18–20 November 2016, when I was in my forties. It was a cheap-and-cheerful girls’ trip, travelling by coach and exploring Paris on foot, including iconic landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre.
Through a personal travel monologue, I describe the experience and share a glimpse of what made the trip memorable. The clip demonstrates my ability to communicate directly to camera, bring a destination to life through storytelling and create an engaging narrative from an everyday travel experience.
For brands, this approach could translate into hotel features, dining experiences, destination guides, property tours and lifestyle-led promotional videos.
I have frequented more than 30 global cities across Europe, North America, the Caribbean and North Africa. Photographs from some of these experiences are featured on my About Lena page.
This international perspective, combined with my commercial background, provides a foundation for creating content that connects the customer experience with a brand’s marketing objectives.
Why the Over-50s Market?
I am particularly interested in how brands communicate with mature consumers who continue to explore new destinations, discover hospitality experiences and invest in their lifestyles.
My positioning brings a youthful, experienced on-camera presence to a market that deserves more varied representation. The objective is not to assume that all over-50s consumers share the same interests, but to help brands communicate with this audience in a way that feels relevant, engaging and authentic.
The commercial opportunity is to test demand for creator-led content that combines personal experience with a clear understanding of the audience and the brand’s objectives.
An Accessible, Brand-Focused Offer
My introductory UGC rates are designed to make initial collaborations straightforward while allowing scope and usage to be agreed in advance.
- Video: £50–£75 per video, depending on the brief and production requirements.
- Usage: 30 days of agreed brand usage, with platforms and permitted use confirmed before work begins.
- Additional requirements: Extended usage, paid advertising, extra deliverables and complex filming quoted separately.
These are introductory rates while I build my portfolio. The priority is to establish clear deliverables and appropriate usage terms for each project.
My focus is currently on producing content for brands to publish through their own channels, rather than selling access to an established social media audience. As of 22 October 2026, my Instagram account, @lenapbenjamin, has 50 followers and my YouTube channel, @lena-benjamin, has three subscribers.
This is an intentional distinction in my commercial positioning: the immediate offer is content creation, not audience reach. Creator-led posting can be discussed separately where appropriate.
Adding Editorial Value Beyond Video
For brands seeking a more comprehensive content package, I also offer a complementary written article for an additional £50–£75.
The proposed package includes:
- An original article aligned with the brand, campaign or experience.
- Featured placement on LenaBenjamin.com for 30 days.
- A dedicated author page for the brand or its nominated representative, similar to my author profile.
- Permanent article publication, subject to agreed editorial and publishing terms.
This creates two complementary assets: video for visual storytelling and an article for a longer-lasting website presence.
For hotels, restaurants and travel businesses, the combination could provide additional opportunities to communicate their offering, location and guest experience beyond the initial video campaign.
Testing the Luxury Hospitality Opportunity
My independent project, London Luxury Hotels: Hospitality at Its Best, will explore how London’s hotels communicate atmosphere, service and the guest experience through short-form video.
I am pursuing filming permissions and developing the project as a solo creator using my iPhone. The aim is to produce contemporary portfolio material that demonstrates my approach to hospitality storytelling and supports conversations with agencies and prospective brand partners.
The project will also help me assess the practical requirements of producing hotel content, from securing permission to filming and editing. Any commercial collaboration would be agreed separately with the relevant property.
The Strategic Priorities Ahead
This initiative is an early-stage commercial experiment, with three priorities guiding the next steps.
Demonstrate capability. Use the Paris sample and London hospitality project to show prospective partners how I communicate on camera and translate experiences into content.
Validate commercial demand. Establish which brands need UGC for their own channels, what deliverables they value and whether the over-50s positioning strengthens the proposition.
Develop complementary revenue. Test whether combining video with permanent editorial publication creates sufficient additional value to justify the optional article fee.
The underlying strategy is to build a focused content service around demonstrable skills, relevant experience and clear commercial terms — rather than relying on follower numbers or broad lifestyle positioning.
Explore a UGC Collaboration
Hotels, hospitality businesses, restaurants, travel brands and experience-led companies can start a conversation by outlining their campaign objectives, target audience, content requirements and intended usage.
